Mixer Introduction

So, various mixing devices are widely used in many industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, food, papermaking, agriculture, and environmental protection.

Working principle of JBF mixer:

In essence, the mixing process is a single momentum transfer or a process that contains the transfer of momentum, heat, and mass as well as chemical reaction in a fluid field, and the mixer is to input mechanical energy into the mixing media by obtaining an appropriate flow field for them.

The mixing process is as follows: The motor drives the mixer to rotate at a certain speed after speed change of the reducer. According to the different mixing speeds, fluids at different speeds are discharged from the impeller. This moving fluid also attracts and carries the surrounding liquid at the same time, so as to involve the static flows or low-speed flows around it, thus synthesizing a complex moving flow. This synthesized moving flow has both horizontal circulation flow and up & down circulation flows along the wall and the mixer shaft. This circulation flow can involve a wide range in the mixing tank and has an effect of volume circulation.

The liquid discharged from the impeller transfers the energy from the impeller to the media in the tank, and sequentially circulates the liquid in the tank to the vicinity of the impeller with mixing function at the same time. Because instantaneous velocity fluctuations will generate irregular movements such as turbulence and eddy currents, which will gradually disintegrate and mix with the surrounding fluid. As a result, the fluid itself and the heat, mass and energy contained in it will also move to the surroundings all together, thus generating homogeneous reactions such as local mixing, and interface update between different phases, which may cause mass transfer and heat transfer of the overall liquid flow.

There's a great diversity of mixing operations, the mixing media are also different from each other, and the requirements for the mixing by different processes are also different, which all require the compatibility with different types of mixers. Coupling configuration:

Shaft seal configuration:

The shaft seal is an important part of the mixing equipment. The task of the mixer shaft seal is to guarantee a certain positive pressure or vacuum in the mixing equipment and to prevent the overflow of reaction materials and the penetration of impurities. So, not all shaft seal forms can be used by the mixing equipment. The commonly used seal forms of the mixer shaft are packing seal and mechanical seal, which should be designed and selected according to the working conditions.
